A Warm WELCOME awaits you at HIGH FARM, BEADLAM RIGG

We are the 4th Generation of Teasdales to farm at High Farm and we love sharing our wonderful setting within the North York Moors National Park with like minded guests who enjoy the tranquility of our setting and come to start their next adventure or just relax and get away from daily life. So grab your walking books and load up your bike and let the adventure begin...

Our remote location is the best of both worlds. Only 3 miles from the main road (The A170 between Helmsley and Kirkbymoorside) and 4.5 miles from the beautiful market town of Helmsley so fantastically located to enjoy so many tourist attractions, however with no passing traffic our roads are generally very quiet. High Farm is at the top of a no through road and a green lane runs north from the farm so what are you waiting for, it's only 1 mile until you are rewarded with panoramic views of heather moorland and beautiful dales.

If you like your holiday to have a slightly slower pace, that's no problem either. Get yourself settled and the coffee brewing then relax with a book and soak up the extensive views and abundance of bird song. We often have amazing sunsets and our starry nights skies are part of the North York Moors International Dark Skies Reserve, where light pollution is so low that you can, at times, see the Milky Way or even the Northern Lights!

We are ideally located to explore the market towns of Helmsley (Tourist Honey Pot), Thirsk (Home of James Herriot & All Creatures Great and Small), Pickering (Starting point of the North York Moors Steam Railway) and Malton (Yorkshire's award winning Food Town) and the historic architecture and grounds of Castle Howard, Rievaulx Abbey (Historic England), Rievaulx Terrace and Temples (National Trust), Nunnington Hall (National Trust) and Ampleforth Abbey. It is also just over 45 mins drive out to the coast at Scarborough and Whitby; to the sandy beaches of Sandsend and Runswick Bay; and the charming fishing villages of Robin Hoods Bay and Staithes. Head to the Jurassic Coast for some fossil hunting at Boggle Hole over the moors via Blakey Ridge to really get the most of your stay and avoid the busier roads. If you need a fix of retail therapy or yet more historic buildings and culture, the city of York, it's city walls and the York Minster are around an hour's drive to the south. However you fill your day, each night you can return 'home' to  our idyllic location and enjoy the remoteness and tranquility of the setting.

Our small, family run holiday accommodation units occupy peaceful locations on our farm with stunning views of the surrounding countryside. Our setting is rich with nature and wildlife and we try to operate in a sustainable and nature conscious manner and would expect our guest to do so as well. We are located within the North York Moor National Park,  and have excellent access to its wealth of off road public rights of way right from the farm entrance and breath taking views within a short distance from your accommodation.
