CL CARAVAN SITE

Our Caravan and Motorhome Club Certificated Location is located on our 4th generation farm in the North York Moors National Park with wide open views and numerous dog walks and on or off road bike rides straight from the site. We are located in an area rich with attractions to fill your visit stretching from the Moors to the Coast and even within easy reach of Historic York for a day trip to enjoy the sites or embrace a bit of retail therapy. High Farm is a great place for young and old to reconnect with nature and appreciate the dark night skies and get away from the busy routines of day to day life...come and join us!

On site we have a modern toilet & shower, Metered Electric Hookup (10 Amp), free WiFi & a good TV & 4G reception.  We can accommodate two units on hard standings but these cannot be booked specifically, however you can requested use of one when making the booking in the additional requests section of the booking form and we will do our best to accommodate you. If you have a large unit and a hard standing is essential to your stay please phone to check availability prior to making your booking.  We are a farm location, however well behaved Children and Dogs are Welcome.

Our two, small, family run holiday accommodation units occupy peaceful locations on our farm with stunning views of the surrounding countryside. If you would like to bring your non-caravanning friends with you please take a look at The Bothy and The Retreat. 

Our setting is rich with nature and wildlife and we try to operate in a sustainable and nature conscious manner and would expect our guest to as well. Electricity usage is metered, with 10 units included within the pitch price per night to ensure fair pricing for all guests. Recycling is also available on site.

Our toilet and shower block is open to the full site and a contribution of £1/per shower is requested for use of this facility. An honesty box for payment is located within the bathroom cabinet. At the start of October the shower is drained down for winter as the room is not heated, but the toilet will still be available for use by the full site until the frosts come when it will also be drained down for winter too. The Toilet and Shower Room will open again around March when (hopefully!) we can assure all frosts have passed. 

The site is available for use by members of the Caravan and Motorhome Club and is listed as High Farm, Beadlam Rigg in the CAMC handbook. We cater for up to 5 touring units with some hard standing available for use during poorer weather. Our flat, lawned, 0.5 acres site is accessed through wide double gates to accommodate all sizes of unit and the spacious pitches are set in beautiful surroundings with outstanding views over Ryedale to the South and West. Once you are at the farm there is no passing traffic so you can relax and enjoy your holiday in comfort & peace. 

We are located only 4.5 miles from Helmsley, which is a lovely market town which has everything you will need from the bacon and bread to make your breakfast, to a fully tailored tweed suit!

The pitch price includes 10kWh of Electricity per night
(which is the average winter usage but levels do vary greatly between different users hence why we have introduced this method of charging to be fair to all)
 additional usage is charged at 26p/kWh

Our shower is only available from around March to October
However the toilet will remain available until the weather turns frosty when it will be drained down until Spring.

A contribution of £1 is requested for use of the shower and an honesty box is located in the bathroom cabinet.

Arrival from 2pm and Departure by 12 noon.

A deposit is required to confirm your booking. The Balance of your payment is due  2 weeks before arrival, you will be emailed to remind you of this.

BOOK YOUR STAY ONLINE

Booking online is the quickest way to secure your chosen dates, whist we are out working on the farm, as we are not always near the computer to take your booking over the phone. But if you have any questions please feel free to call and discuss your requirements. 

Through the winter we only take two bookings per night and these will be on the hard standing. If you require hardstanding at any other time of the year please call or email before booking to ensure this can be accommodated.

Payment in full is required for stays of one night, all other bookings require a deposit of 30% of the total fee to be paid online at the time of making the booking; we cannot guarantee any bookings for which we do not hold a deposit. The remaining balance is due 2 weeks before arrival by Bank Transfer.
